Finding the sensitivity

How to find the best sensitivity for yourself mouse?

7.1 Finding the sensitivity
—————————

Example 1. Lower feels better
—————————–

I start with value 5.

10
5
2,5

I like more 2,5 so I cross out value 10 so there will be left values 2,5 and 5. I divide value 2,5 by 2 = 1,25. So now I have again three values.

5
2,5
1,25

Now I compare values 5 and 1,25. Lower 1,25 feels better so I cross out value 5. Then I divide value 1,25 by 2 = 0,625.

2,5
1,25
0,625

Again I compare values 2,5 and 0,625. Higher 2,5 feels better so I cross out value 0,625.
NOTICE! Lower value didn’t felt better anymore, so I stop halfing. So now I take value 2,5 which I chosen and average value of that moment 1,25 and I calculate average value of those two values. I get nexts values:

2,5
1,875
1,25

Lower 1,25 feels better. So I cross out value 2,5. I calculate average value of 1,25 and 1,875 = 1,5625. I approximate values to three decimals, in this case to 1,563.

1,875
1,563
1,25

Now value 1,875 feels better. I cross out value 1,25 and then I calculate average value of those two values which were left:

1,875
1,719
1,563

Let’s say that I can’t say which one feels better, 1,875 or 1,563. So now I choose my sensitivity from that average value aka 1,719.

Example 2. Higher feels better
——————————

I start with value 5.

10
5
2,5

I like more 10. I cross out value 2,5 so there is left 10 and 5. I double value 10 = 20. So now I have again three values.

20
10
5

I compare values 20 and 5. Higher 10 feels better so I cross out value 5. I double again value 20 = 40.

40
20
10

Again I compare values 40 and 10. Value 40 feels still better so I cross out value 10 and double value 40 = 80.

80
40
20

I compare values 80 and 20 which lower value 20 feels better so I cross out value 80.
NOTICE! Higher value didn’t felt better anymore so I stop doubling. So now I take value 20 which I chosen and average value of that moment 40 and I calculate average value of those two values. I get nexts values:

40
30
20

I compare values 40 and 20 which value 20 feels better. So I cross out value 40. I calculate average value of 20 and 30 = 25.

30
25
20

Value 20 feels better so I cross out value 30 and again I calculate average value of those two values which were left:

25
22,5
20

Value 25 feels a little bit better so I cross out value 20 and I calculate average value of those two values which were left:

25
23,75
22,5

Value 25 feels a little bit better so I cross out value 22,5 and I calculate average value of those two values which were left:

25
24,375
23,75

Let’s say that I can’t say which one feels better, 25 or 23,75. So now I choose my sensitivity from that average value aka 24,375.

7.2 Fine tuning of sensitivity
——————————

So that value(1,719) which you got in example 1 will set as an average value. Also you multiply and divide it by 1,25. So you get next values:

2,149
1,719
1,375

Then again to test farthest values. Etc. Remember to multiply and divide by 1,25.

So that value(24,375) which you got in example 2 will set as an average value. Also you multiply and divide it by 1,25. So you get next values:

30,469
24,375
19,5

Then again to test farthest values. Etc. Remember to multiply and divide by 1,25.

In this way you will get very good sensitivity which fit to yourself.
